I relate to the idea of exploring topics that make readers consider something they may not have noticed in the past. Short stories lend themselves to that purpose. Short formats can put one idea, one event, one feeling under a microscope and blow it up into an image we can clearly see.
What topic do you have under your microscope today?

not exactly for today but I have been fascinated with harnessing time , manipulation of time, time travel possibilities and ancient culture. exploration into these things give me a better understanding of the world, I do tend to pick out books with these themes

LOL I could use some time travel, especially if it allowed me to get more writing done. 😊

My idea that is under a microscope, so to speak, is how appreciative those who have kept one at arm’s length can be, with the simple act of an hour’s assistance in an onerous task.

My grandmother used to say “many hands make light work”. Having help makes even the worst task bearable. Can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Topic for today … whether or not to include a prologue with my book! Agents say they don’t like them and yet, I see them in books so not sure where they draw the line!

I have heard that too. Perhaps is is another case of “you can’t make everyone happy”? Does it make sense to call it Chapter One instead?
