I am a voracious reader. My preferred reading style is consuming books, from beginning to the end, in a single sitting. I’ve never possessed the required discipline, or desire, to limit myself to a chapter before laying the book aside. Perhaps I am impatient. Books in a series present the same challenges of a marathon. I plan and schedule accordingly and can finish trilogies in a weekend.
The pace is not sustainable if you have multiple interests. The result is my reading takes on a seasonal feel. There are definite periods when my reading list shrinks perceptively, and seasons when it stagnates. Exploring unknown worlds, discovering captivating facts and entertaining controversial viewpoints is part of who I am. Summer is coming, daylight lasts longer, and all those ‘trashy’ beach novels are calling.
How do you like to read?

I’m a one-book-at-time, hour a day reader. When I don’t get my reading time I get grumpy. Two days in a row, I’m a bear.

I have an eBook and audiobook always in play. I read all the time and listen whenever I can’t hold a book (household chores, road trips, grocery shopping). I do love reading from beginning to end but can’t do that much anymore.

Love it. I enjoy a real book in my hands. There is a wonderful fell to it, but eBooks and audio books are so convenient.

I never thought I’d ever give up my physical books. But, my hubby bought me my first eReader nine years ago and the convenience was just too massive to ignore. I still have my libraries throughout my home, though💜
