Simon was super cute, highly efficient and he learned everything about me.
I didn’t have to worry about cleaning or cooking or a hundred other minor things.
My life was arranged, tidy, sterile and devoid of any spontaneity.

he is a cutie and love the twinkle in his eyes. I think lack of spontaneity has its merits. Very nice how you incorporated that into the three lines. it gave impact to the first thoughts as i read it.

You know there are chores I rather enjoy and would miss if someone was always doing for me.

and what would they be? Housework gives me a sense of balance on the days everything is going wrong in my life, but when the going is good I hate it to the core and wish I had a magic wand to finish it all off! I hate ironing the most…LOL! I do like tidying bookshelves though.
