This quote reminds me of Diane Keaton cry writing in the movie Something’s Gotta Give. It is one of my favorite scenes.
How do you get emotion into your writing?

Agree, it is so appropriate, and when she cries in the shower and when she puts her glasses on and realizes the glasses are HIS. PERFECT acting!

Laughing… I guess you need to find a boyfriend, get your heart broken and then write about it! 🙂

Feel the emotion and share it-whether with straight up words, or hyperbole, as long as the goal is interest- all’s great!

there was another movie, forget the title where the girl could only write if she was unhappy, that was a good emotional description. Coffee works best for me – and thoughts of snow!

Sounds vaguely familiar. Coffee is always at my side as I write and the perfect accompaniment to snow is a fire.
