This quote describes me well. I tend to be a very solitary individual, content to spend hours alone at my keyboard, clickety-clacking away.
But time alone must be balanced with the rest of the world.
What activities do you engage in to provide balance to your writing time?

I like you, love this new passion of mine, reading all the posts on my reader. And it was Alex a big chunk out of my day. The rest I spend with my family and friends. We love going out, maybe grab a meal or coffee. Or catch a movie on the weekends.

This sounds wonderful. Spending time with family and friends is a great way to find balance so we can return to our solitary work. 😊

They talk about work-life balance but I think it goes further than that. There needs to be a balance between solitary pursuits and group activities. A balance between relaxation and exercise. In our busy world it is too easy to spend too much time on one thing and that is never good. 😊

yes the solitude is crucial to me, i can’t take too much human interaction as my work involves people, i get very overwhelmed and just need my own company to process thoughts. there was a time i needed to fill blocks of time, but that soon became too exhausting so i allow the low moments to just pass while i find my balance again. it takes discipline

I agree with the quote, balance is important. Friends and family help keep me grounded! I also love photography, it’s a great way of getting out and about.

Photography is great way of seeing the world. It really makes you conscious of details others overlook. Thanks for commenting Bernie. 😊

Actually I’m out of balance right now. I have a lot of projects I need to sort, organize, and complete for the sake of my family. Lots of pictures, albums, collectibles, etc. But I do like my blogging community. So I’m not getting much else done. I do teach a Sun. morning class and have a Tuesday morning social event in which I participate. Life is wonderful.

Keeping a balance every day is difficult my friend. Some days we need to devote to accomplishing one thing and it leaves little or no time for the things that keep us even. Thats ok as long as we recognize the choice and plan some activities to recharge when the task is accomplished. It sounds like you are doing great, Oneta. Take care of your family projects. Life is indeed wonderful. ❤
