I have a ritual I invoke at the beginning of each month. I evaluate my progress, review my accomplishments, and congratulate myself on what worked. That’s the easy part. Next, I determine where I fell short and devise ways to fix underperforming areas. Then I sweep it away.
Turning the calendar means a clean slate, and an opportunity to start again. But a do-over isn’t a free pass. I hold myself accountable and reschedule unfinished tasks. By letting my failures guide me, I have learned valuable lessons. My mistakes point out miscalculations. Dissecting the errors allows me to make course corrections, adjust my workflow, and I get another chance to be better. The one thing I keep in mind as I establish my new schedule is: my past performance is not an indicator of future outcomes. Instead, I set myself up to outperform last month’s wins.
How do you approach a new month?

New month? What day is it again? Yup, that pretty much sums up my scheduling method.

It throws me off when a month starts in the middle of the week.

You are much better than me. I do look at a new month as a time to “buckle down” and re-focus. Hey, when I went to that site that is using our material I typed in some fellow blogger names to see who else is on there, I saw a JoHawk Adventurer. Is that you? I have a friend from College, need to see if he is on that site.

Nope, not me, but they do have every one of my posts going back to February. 🤬

Guess what — they have my post from today on their website. So, obviously they don’t read anything, they just link to our websites and pull our posts.

It is a bot. Hopefully if everyone files a DMCA request it will eventually get taken down.
