I ignored my excellent advice and took a break from my everyday writing routine. The unrelenting, time-sensitive holiday demands provided the perfect excuse to let one thing go. I swore to myself it would last no longer than the year’s end. So today, we start a new year, brimming with possibilities, the promise of a blank slate, and the thrill of unknown prospects. My break has ensured I am well rested and eager to begin my new adventure. I can’t wait to see new words appear on my screen.
Are you starting your year on a positive note? Are you writing today?

Welcome back! It’s good to have a break. Nice to start 2022 with NEW ideas, NEW words coming on the page. Felt like a strange holiday without snow this year. I’m not complaining. I wasn’t looking forward to ice, since I enjoy walking. I was out earlier and it was wonderful – fresh air, not so cold, snow was wet though. Ice tomorrow maybe (sigh).

Looking out my office window, it is snowing ❄❄❄ They are predicting 5 to 9 inches of the fluffy stuff before it ends. So far, it looks like we have 3-4 inches, but it is hard to tell with the blowing and drifting. All in all, it is a great weekend to cozy up inside and write. 👍
Be careful of the ice, my friend, it can be nasty stuff. Happy New Year.
