I feel each stab, each insult, each insignificant pinprick.
I paint my face, and they see what I want them to see, the reality that isn’t real.
Each night reveals the truth and I cry until at last I sleep.

stellar three lines! i let them see what i want them to see. in cognitive neuroscience colour is heavily debated – we see what we have been conditioned to see and accept as truth. i love the play of words and the illusions you create here.

Thanks Gina. It is also one of the issues with witness, they can be predisposed to “seeing” something. It is 100% real to them. Rather like those photo illusions of the lady at a mirror or a skull, you can see only one and you are correct. Interesting topic.
